Burger Bus in Kenai

By far one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska. Fantastic prices and even better food. The very best part was the staff. Friendly, fun and smiling the whole time. These guys are a MUST for anyone in the area!!

Delicious and juicy burgers! This place is worth the stop. The food was amazing and the people are super friendly. The old bus converted to kitchen is very cool and unique. Highly recommended!

Fries were perfect and the cheeseburger was good. No complaints.

Burgers were good but fish and chips were not. No flavored. Onion rings were average but they gave a lot of them.

The burgers and sides (fries, mozz sticks, onion rings) are great. Have eaten here 3 times and have never gotten bad food. This is a permanently located food truck. Literally an old school bus with a wooden lean-to built on the side. Seating is on multiple picnic tables (3 exposed, 1 under cover in the lean-to). Food prep takes about 15 minutes, depending on what's ordered. Longer at busy times. The burgers come with "fixins": mayo, crisp lettuce, nice tomato slice and sweet pickles. They are not fancy burgers but they are very tasty: squishy sesame seed bun, well melted cheese, great flavor. Highly recommended!

Good grief! There is a very good reason they have 4.8 stars after nearly 200 reviews: WONDERFUL BURGERS! The Kenai Killer was superb! But don't believe the 6PM closing - they close when they run out of stuff, which can be before 5PM on pretty days. Get there by 430PM at the latest! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very yummy! The burger meat had great flavor. We ordered one sandwich bunless and they gave it to us in a pretty manageable lettuce wrap. The fries were nothing special but the price was awesome!

Best burgers in the area. Actually it's the only place I will get a burger in the Kenai area. If I have to settle for second best, I'll go to the Duck Inn and get the Duck Burger.

One of the best burgers I've had in Alaska.

This is hands down the best place on the Kenai for a great hamburger. They offer either 1/4 lb or 1/3 lb burgers. Where can you get a good tasting burger and fries for under $15? Right here. With awesome customer service too.

Their burgers are pretty good. Only complaint would be I wish there was a way to order online or text in an order that they would give an estimated order completion time. That way you can order ahead of time.

We love the burger bus. The jalapeno poppers and burgers are great. As for myself, I recommend the Kenai Killer. But, despite others rave reviews, the fries are simply terrible. Been there a couple times and they've been dry and dreadful. Plates of fries down the disposal each time. Maybe we are just unlucky, but the burgers keep us coming back. Great, great burger.

Best burger I've had here in kenai or Soldotna

What a yummy burger!! Had the killer with jaelpenos, bacon, and green chilis AND was able to substitute breaded mushrooms for the fries!! A busy place even at 2 in the afternoon, but well worth the wait. Kinda reminds me of the that hot dog bus I saw on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives that was in West Virginia- but these guys do burgers...very well!!!

Fantastic customer service. Delicious burgers and fries. The food is fresh and made to order. They have picnic tables to enjoy your food. You may have to wait a bit, but its it's worth it.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid! All time 100% favorite place to snag a burger! Amazing people and never ever disappoints. I crave this place constantly and I’m not a huge burger eater but I will inhale the whole thing every time I get one from this place. They are amazing at what they do and their kindness to every person is rare and appreciated

The food quality is generally good, and the staff is extremely friendly. There is also a rewards, punch-card program to receive a free 1/4lb cheeseburger or $5 off your purchase, after 10 "punches." Ironically, the punch cards say "Phone for Pickup 283-9611," but you can't ever get them to pickup their phones for carryout. Try calling them and you'll get a busy tone, even if you try for hours which implies to me the phones are taken off the hook for whatever reason. As many know, Burger Bus has a very small - two picnic table outdoor dining area, but the general business model is a grab-and-go feel. They are going to continue to lose business so long as people cannot ever call orders ahead of time. Please fix this!

Cannot recommend this place high enough, 5 stars doesn't do their burgers justice. Been a regular here for years and I've never been disappointed (beside with my pack of patience while waiting for the food 😉).

Best burgers in town.

It's a good burger, possibly the best on the Kenai peninsula. Definitely in the top 10 for the whole state. The wait seems long because of the outside and uncomfortable seating in a gravel parking lot. Plus they cook it right, and to order...so it takes a bit longer. If they had indoor comfortable seating or a better arrangement of access, this place would be 5 stars.

The BEST burgers in the peninsula hands down. Always has been always will be. The owners are delightful make you feel like family energous the happiest people on earth. The food it's always fresh and hot. There is nothing like a burger best burger. And deep fried mushrooms are so yummy. and if you tell them you have a food allergy they don't scoff at you or make you feel bad to do their best to accommodate you. Great people great staff great food just all around the best. That's why it's the world-renowned Burger bus!

For the most part it's amazing but if they are really busy it could be 40 minutes before you get your food and they take the phone off of the hook if there are a ton of customers, the food keeps me coming back though.

Best cheeseburger in town!

Outdoor seating at sturdy picnic tables a plus as we could bring the dogs (in a stroller). Not a real burger person, but I would come here again...really good! There are several types of burgers available, but I just had a regular cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. Don't remember the last time I had a burger with lettuce that fresh!!

Best burgers on the Peninsula, well worth the wait, will be back!!
